8 First Kiss
First kisses were never as romantic as books made them out to be; of course Levy was never deluded enough to think it would be perfect. But it was hard to not dream about it, and who it would be with and everything especially when it came to the slumber party at Fairy Hills were the conversation lead to that.
Only Cana, Bisca and Juvia had any experience and the stories they told that it was much left to be desired about. But even so she couldn’t help but imagine how it would be with Gajeel, especially considering how much bigger he was than her it was exciting to think about.
Until it actually happened of course, but that was how it was with many things wasn’t it?
“What are you doing?” she asked confused as he his face was inches from hers, she could feel his hot breath fan across her face and it smelled like mint and…iron? Really? But she ignored that as he gave her an intense glare. “Gajeel?” she asked again laughing as her face heated up sometimes he got like that where he would stare at like she wasn’t real.
And then he moved.
Gajeel had barely touched her lips before she pulled back yelling pushing against him. “What are you doing!?” her heart hammered in her chest, there was no way he was actually going to k-kiss her?! Was it?! If she was going to get a kiss finally it wasn’t going to be like this for no reason!
“Kissin’ ya.” He said in a matter-afactly- kind of voce tat slightly annoyed Levy, “Lily said girls like to be surprised about this so…” she said his tan cheeks darken as he turned away. “Nothin’ at all.” Levy smiled as she came closer to him.
“You should have asked then.” Her hands against his chest as he turned towards her again his bottom lip put out slightly. Slowly he came closer to her his hand on the back of her head as she held her breath, her chest about to burst and ears buzzing as their lips touched.
“Who bites someone when they kiss them!?” Levy yelled as best she could as she held her bottom lip with a napkin.
“Damn it I said I’m sorry I heard a noise and got distracted! Levy? Damn it why’re laughin’ now?!” his voice was full of worry and anger and the whole situation Levy couldn’t help but laugh, bitten on her first kiss. How does that? But as she pulled the napkin back to see that there wasn’t much blood she felt her body warm as his hand touched her shoulder, muttering under his breath as his chest pressed into her back and chin on her head.
She leaned back and sighed, picturing the expression Lu-chan would be wearing when she told her.
Since despite how imperfect and bloody it was, their lips touched so it counted this time.
